What topic should I apply with?

We accept and encourage ALL topics related to WordPress and Web Design/Development. The charm of WC Lahore is that we welcome a diverse lineup of talented speakers to provide value to our broad audience.

We’re hoping to receive a variety of front-end talks, so please apply if you are a developer or have a technical talk to share at WC Lahore. That’s what our audience is looking for.

However, this shouldn’t discourage anyone who wants to apply with a different subject. We want quality talks that interest all types of WordPressers, so we are also looking for Marketing, Business, Blogging and anything else you believe will appeal to the WC Lahore community.

We are an open and welcoming community that encourages speaker applications from all over the world. Even if you are new to WordPress, tell us how you are making the web a better place.

We are planning the following formats for sessions:

• Long talks – 40 minutes in total, breaking down to around 30 mins for talk & 10 mins for questions.
• Lightning talks – 20 minutes each, grouping related topics together.

Do I need to be an experienced speaker to apply?

It is an advantage to have experience as a speaker when answering a Call for Speakers. When reviewing speaker applications, we will take previous speaking experience into account. If you have a few WordCamps lined up to add to your speaking experience before WordCamp Lahore, but after you send in your application, be sure you tell us that too.

Speaking in front of a large audience can be overwhelming, even for experienced speakers, and we want to lend a helping hand. This year, the content team will be sharing resources and tips on how to put together a successful presentation, as well as how to be more comfortable on stage.
