TyphoonCon 2023

SSD Secure Disclosure founded TyphoonCon in 2018.

The event was nearly canceled due to a typhoon hitting Hong Kong, but it went on regardless and was extremely successful, inspiring us to rename the event TyphoonCon.

This is considered one of the best Cybersecurity Conferences in South Korea.

TyphoonCon is a highly technical offensive security conference that focuses on issues such as vulnerability discovery, advanced exploitation techniques, and reverse engineering. TyphoonCon was founded on the belief that researchers should be able to share their research, discoveries, and experiences with other security enthusiasts.

SSD Secure Disclosure, the company behind TyphoonCon, was founded in 2007 as a vulnerability disclosure program. SSD acquires high-end vulnerabilities at various stages of research, proof-of-concept, and similar; these vulnerabilities affect major operating systems, software, and devices. SSD reports them to vendors and clients, and it fosters long-term relationships between vendors and researchers.

SSD was created by researchers for researchers, and it provides the quick response and support needed to responsibly report zero-day vulnerabilities to vendors and get researchers the compensation they deserve.
