SGTech Week 2023

This week-long conference brings together 200+ smart grid technical professionals to discuss grid innovation initiatives in the context of escalating regulatory challenges, serious cybersecurity risks, and fast-rising demand for renewable integration.

The week kicks out with a hands-on training focused on one of the most important IEC standards for smart grids: IEC 61850 for Substation Automation. This is an excellent opportunity to catch up on the latest evolutions and applications of the standard, led by Christoph Brunner, Convenor of TC57 WG10. The main three-day conference begins with a morning of plenary sessions addressing the large macro issues affecting the Energy Transition, followed by three technical tracks focusing on breakthroughs in Digital Substations, SCADA and Control Centers, and Utility Telecoms. The week concludes with a forward-thinking briefing on smart grid cybersecurity, covering everything from the threat landscape to breakthroughs in prevention, detection, and response tactics.

Along with the main conference, there will be an exhibition including 30+ suppliers of grid infrastructure goods and services. An intensive assisted networking program ensures that participants may technology scout and form new relationships to help take their smart grid adoption projects forward.
