MyDIGITAL is the name of the government of Malaysia’s initiative to map out a strategy for the country’s transition to a technology-driven economy by the year 2030. It has become clear that the data center and cloud computing business is the most important factor in making this vision a reality.
With all of the favorable conditions, such as cost-competitive power availability, easy access to skilled employees, abundant renewable energy, and relatively cheaper access to land and construction costs in the ASEAN region, the Malaysian data center market size is set to witness an investment of $1.4 billion by the year 2026. This is expected to take place. Simply the public cloud segment of the country’s market is now worth 643.4 million dollars, making it the second-largest cloud market in Southeast Asia.
Tradepass will be hosting the Datacentre & Cloud Infrastructure Summit (#DCCIMalaysia) on the 23rd and 24th of August 2022 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The goal of the summit is to accelerate Malaysia’s tech-driven transformation and provide support to the government with its initiatives. Over five hundred datacenter and cloud specialists from over two hundred of Malaysia’s most successful public and commercial organisations will attend the conference.
