Critical Infrastructure Security Summit

At the upcoming 2nd Annual Critical Infrastructure Security Summit, the primary focus will be on the defense of our nation’s important infrastructure as well as the creation of resilient systems to safeguard it from outside attacks and other hazards. The interconnectivity and advanced capabilities that digital systems have provided to the infrastructure systems of our nation also poses a threat to America’s enemies because it gives them a path of approach that they can take to cripple US production and economic power without having to fire a shot.

Reasons to Attend This Summit:

Many of the businesses necessary to uphold our way of life are vulnerable to cyberattacks from outside actors as well as a variety of other man-made and natural dangers, as recent attacks on US interests have demonstrated. Losing these skills for even a few days might disrupt everyday life or impede many of the regular operations across our country as the country and the world grow increasingly interconnected thanks to improved technologies. Bipartisan support was received for the recent passing of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which made $1.2 trillion available for projects to create new infrastructure and update existing infrastructure.

The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which includes infrastructure ranging from transportation to water to broadband internet, is the largest infrastructure law in US history. Senior executives from government and business will speak at the event, outlining the challenges to key infrastructure sectors today as well as the necessary countermeasures. A panel of supply chain specialists will also hold an open discussion on the issue in the supply chain and emphasize the necessity for public-private cooperation to resolve it.
