Combatting Cyber Fraud through Collaboration

Although the fight against cyber fraud in the United Kingdom represents the “most joined-up bit of policing” in the country, individual police units are unable to win the battle on their own. Only by cooperation, participation, and partnership with both industry and the community can fraud in the digital realm be stopped. In spite of the fact that there is still a significant amount of work to be done, significant advancement has been made over the course of the past few years.

At this discussion, which will be held in conjunction with the Essex Police, the topic of how businesses and law enforcement can work together more effectively to strengthen cyber resilience and prevent cyber fraud will be discussed. Contributions from law enforcement and the corporate sector that are already helping us to work together more closely are included in the program for the day. These contributions include those from Action Fraud, the Eastern Cyber Resilience Centre, UK Finance, and a number of other organizations.
