California Cybersecurity Education Summit 2022

The COVID-19 pandemic expanded California’s reliance on virtual tools for meetings, retail, education, healthcare, and government functions significantly.

Moving fast to virtual environments also allowed for an increase in the number of cyberattacks on information technology assets in California, across the country, and around the world.

Phishing, ransomware, and other cybercrimes against government agencies, healthcare organizations, public utilities, educational establishments, and enterprises have increased due to organized cybercriminal groups.

The California Department of Technology (CDT), the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (CalOES), the California Highway Patrol (CHP), and the California Department of Military (CalGuard) will host the 2022 State of California Cybersecurity Education Summit, which will include cybersecurity leaders from state and local government throughout California.
