Breach Simulations: What We Learned About the Process and Ourselves

In 2021, the Wellcome Trust began undertaking breach simulations and discovered that even during an exercise, things do not always proceed as planned.
Participants will be joined by the Head of Information Security and Chief Information Officer of the Wellcome Trust, who will provide insights into some of the things they discovered, as well as some of the unanticipated benefits (and concerns) that conducting simulations has brought.
Wellcome is a global philanthropic foundation that works to advance science in order to alleviate the world’s most pressing health problems. They support curiosity-driven research and are tackling three of humanity’s most pressing health issues: climate change, infectious disease, and mental health.
